Assessment: Kind of a nothing day in the S&P 500 yesterday. I am starting to wonder if the lack of volume and yesterday’s lack of movement is a signal that the big market participants have decided to take the next couple weeks off and return after Labor Day. Given how traders started taking summer break in late April, it would not surprise me if they are making things a very long Labor Day weekend and we get not action until after the holiday.
